If you're looking for the unusual... Then check out the eBooks and audios listed above. They will give you a unique perspective on raising and training your dog. I especially found the idea of preparing your own homemade recipies an intriguing idea; especially in today's marketplace, where there is so much concern about tainted dog food products. Many brand names, were canned and packaged in China... but have since been recalled. So if you have a sensitive dog, or a dog with food allergies, or a dog whose digestive tract and health is at issue, this ebook will spark your interest.

Product Description: A boy learns about responsibility, commitment and friendship while trying to rescue a beagle pup from mistreatment by its owner. Michael Moriarty, Rod Steiger, Scott Wilson and young Blake Heron, star in a wonderful all-family treat. Year: 1996 When a mistreated beagle pup follows 11-year-old Marty Preston (Blake Heron) home one day, it sparks a passion in the boy that leads him into a web of moral and emotional turmoil. Marty knows the dog belongs to his irascible neighbor, Judd Travers (a spittin' mean performance by Scott Wilson); he also knows Judd breaks local gaming laws and abuses his hounds. But Marty's father (Michael Moriarty) is a stickler for the first rule of pet ownership: he who owns the pet rules the pet. Marty seeks advice from the wise Doc Wallace (Rod Steiger), who tells the boy about his own struggle to claim legal guardianship over his granddaughter following her parents' death. The story inspires Marty to fight for the creature he has come to love. With a believable blend of nerve, conviction, and a hint of fear, Marty works every angle to beg, buy, or (finally) strike a trade with Travers to save Shiloh. While its pace runs a bit slow, the film provides a thoughtful lesson in weighing right and wrong and should appeal to families with children under 12. Based on the Newbery Award-winning book Shiloh, by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. --Liane Thomas --Amazon.com Special Features |

Product Description: Fans of the National Geographic Channel's The Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan will be grateful for Cesar's Way, an accessible guide to help new and current dog owners better understand the needs of their beloved pets. If you are not yet a fan, try to catch a couple of episodes of the remarkable show--you will be amazed, impressed, and motivated to create a healthier, more fulfilling relationship with your dog. In Cesar's Way, Cesar explains that dogs are not complicated, and despite what various owners think--not human. They rely on three key elements in their lives: exercise, discipline, and affection (in that order). "Problem dogs" can be attributed to "problem owners," owners who don't understand and misinterpret their dog's behavior. Cesar's Way is really a training program for dog owners, with chapters devoted to understanding the "power of the pack," taking responsibility for "how we screw up our dogs," and learning how to manage aggression. Cesar's book (a must-have for new and old dog owners) moves beyond basic obedience school techniques, and teaches owners how to change unwanted behavior by better understanding their "best friends." --Daphne Durham --Amazon.com Review |

Product Description: The Complete Shiloh Film Collection; Studio: Warner Home Video I loved the Shiloh movies...all three of them. I don't usually watch family movies. I'm more into Sci-fi and drama. We recently brought home a beagle puppy and when I saw these movies about a beagle I thought they might be fun. They were. These are not movies about a super dog, or a dog that acts like a human. They about the responsibilities of owning a dog, the challenges of doing what's right, and being a person of integrity. I brought them with me to a Christmas Family reunion and we watched all three straight through. Everybody loved them. All ages of us. I wish there were more of them. --From a customer. Every child older than about 6 to 8 years old will learn something very positive from these movies and in todays world maybe they should be required viewing. As a 41 year old adult male and Beagle lover, I have watched all of them several times and enjoy them over and over. Great movie for kids and Beagle lovers alike ! |
